Formerly known as Ground Transportation Services, Transcor, Inc. was
established in 1974 as an agent for Greyhound, Trailways and Amtrak and is
credited with the development and implementation of the Bulk Ticketing
Program for applicant travel. Since that time, Transcor has grown
to representing 14 ground transportation providers and all airlines
nationwide for the sole purpose of providing transportation services to all
branches of the U.S. military.

In 1990, Transcor, in conjunction with its independent carriers,
established customized "door-to-door" shuttle services. This service was
established for the exclusive use of military applicants from recruiting
stations to the MEPS and back. These services have expanded throughout the
U.S. as the main source of applicant transportation.
In developing new routes or servicing established ones, Transcor, Inc. only represents
Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) approved carriers. All carriers represented by Transcor
are fully insured, properly licensed and meet all applicable vehicle safety
standards.
In addition, Transcor provides charters for all branches of the US Military on a nationwide basis.
